Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Amy Smart was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her acting career started in the year 1996, when she appeared in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure the role on Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was very intense. It was difficult for her to transition into acting since models weren't considered good actors, and they typically were given less parts. But somehow Amy did not give up and stepped into larger roles, beginning with the show The 70s and the film Varsity Blues. Amy then stepped into leading roles with the 2005s romantic comedy film Just Friends which also starred Ryan Reynolds. Amy was recognized after more than ten years of struggling. Then she worked on several of the most famous films including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless in which she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
