Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She's the co-founder and director of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington, an independent liberal news outlet is a popular TV show host an author and charitable donor. She was born in Greece then moved to England when she was sixteen. When she attended Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA of Economics. The first graduate who was not from the UK to serve as president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. Following graduation, she left her name as a conservative syndicated columnist and when the publication of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed an online voice platform that included critical comments regarding the state of affairs. She was able to get many prominent contributors to share their perspectives on culture as well as political issues. Arianna was famous when she made the decision to contest as an independent presidential candidate during the California recall election, to take over the then governor Davis. Additionally she was also the director of the Detroit Project for efficient vehicles that use less fuel. Forbes classified her as the 12th-highest ranked woman within the field of media in 2009 and Guardian has also placed her on the Top 100 Media List at the time. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she became president of the group of media. The acquisition included numerous AOL properties at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Her parents were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management consultant as well as a journalist. While she was closely associated with her father, it was her relationship with her mother that shaped her character. Even in her early childhood, she displayed the ability to lead that has become well known. at the age of 16 she relocating to the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of The Cambridge Union college debate society while in college as she was the 3rd and only female to be elected the president. In 1972 she graduated with a master's degree in Economics. She worked as a music critic, a TV host and as a columnist shortly after her graduation. She also appeared along with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with his assistance in editing.
